Project Summary
Uttar Pradesh Sodic Land Reclamation III Project (UPSLR III P) is designed to reclaim 1,30,000hectaresodic lands in 28 sodic-infested districts of the state of Uttar Pradesh. A large number of the sodic lands holdershail from the most deprived and poorest section of the community and lack basic amenities. The project therefor is formulated considering all those parameters and activities which are expected to bring a significant agriculture and socio economicdevelopment in the project area. The project includes all the activities which are essential in a farming system approach for favourable changes in overall farm income. Project has five components out of which first four are technical and the last pertains to the management of the project. These components are mentioned as under:

Project Summary
Promotion of Farmer’s Producer Organization (FPC) for implementation of sustainable farming practices, adopting the post-harvest agri-business activities through promotion of farmer’s collective and strengthening agricultural value chains. To open new avenues for the small and marginal farmers/primary producers by bridging the gap between production and market accessibility through a guaranteed market for produce and access to quality inputs, machinery and modern technologies/equipment’s.

Project Summary

The economic value of beekeeping through pollination is also estimated to be worth at least ten times the production value of honey.

Project Summary
Empowerment of women from the minority communities and emboldening them to move out of the confines of their home and community and assume leadership roles and assert their rights, collectively or individually, in accessing services, facilities, skills and opportunities besides claiming their due share of development benefits of the Government for improving their lives and living conditions. This includes economic empowerment of the trainee women so that they ultimately become independent and confident members of the society.

Extension Programmes
Project Summary
The Scheme ‘Support to State Extension Programmes for Extension Reforms’ aims at making extension system farmer driven and farmer accountable by disseminating technology to farmers through new institutional arrangements viz. Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) at district level to operationalize the extension reforms on a participatory mode.

(Facilitating drinking water supply to every rural household)
Project Summary
Jal Jeevan Mission is being implemented to make provision of tap water supply to every rural household in adequate quantity of prescribed quality with adequate pressure on regular and long-term basis. Extensive planning exercise is undertaken by following ‘bottom-up approach’. JJM is not just about infrastructure creation; the focus is on ‘service delivery’ by empowering local communities to function as local water utilities. It is important to spread awareness on judicious use of water especially as piped water reaches every household in the village. It is envisioned that the Gram Panchayat and/ or its sub-committee, i.e. Village Water & Sanitation Committee/ Pani Samiti etc.
